| First let me just say im not pro but there are a few things that i picked up that might be handy to a new player
When first starting keep a wide variety of weapons equiped. that way you're ready for any situation that is thrown at you. when you find your prefered style then equip the weapons that suit you. feel free to be creative with your selection i've seen ppl equip both plasma and counter sword or someone else equip 3 submachine guns.
Dont buy clothes untill you have at least 3 weapons and 1 skill. Anyone that has played a while will tell you this. why you might ask. simple weapons kill ppl skills help you kill ppl and clothes make you look nice. most ppl say get the weapons first and then the skill but personally i think if you have a weapon you like permently then you can get a skill you like. depends on which way can help you more.
Try out everything. there is no such thing as a useless weapon or skill in this game. everything is made to suit different styles and just beause you might have a pre-set style in mind doesnt mean you wont like another. the license tests give you a free 5-hour item so feel free to mess around with everything.
Make sure the skill you have on is an active skill. if you're not using the skill you have equip to the fullest extent where it helps you kill more/score more than without it then it would be best to equip hp mastery.
Dodge can be your best friend. although in mid-range combat i prefer shield learning how to use dodge would be really helpful. The shiled cant block close combat attacks but dodge can be used for any situation.
Wall jump can also be your best friend. learning the best wall jump path will allow you to get speedy score in touchdown. and in death match can probably get somewhere faster or get you to a good sniping spot.
Always reload when you can. in this game every shot matters so ever if you think its pointless reload. dont worry if an enemy appears when you begin to reload simply switch to another weapon(a sword or something else with ammo) and you will immedietly stop reloading ready for action. the only downside to this is that unless you heard the click sound that comes from reloading you'll still have the same amount of ammo before you began to reload.
Learn to switch weapons. refering to the previous tip every shot matters.if you're in the mist of combat and you have run out of ammo simply switch to another gun, and bammo you can shoot your enemy again. if you're really out of ammo then switch to a sword. if you dont have a sword and you're out....well you have problems so just run and hope you dont die.
The roof can be destroyed. If you're in a sniping battle with mutiple ppl and you're out of ammo and they can still shoot you even if you move back then swtich to a sword and jump attack. you'll probably break the roof tile you're on and get out of their fire. sadly you'll lose you're sniping spot but its better than dying right? also if you spawn on the roof with your enemies(this has happened to me a lot when play DM in neden-3) jump attack with a sword quickly. if you really want get close to someone and jump attack you get out of the ppl's fire you make someone lose their sniping spot and you can probably kill them with your sword.
Always move. There is almost never a time when you are 100% safe in this game so keep on the move. Also if you're in a sniping battle keep moving. A single rail gun shot can kill you but from what i have seen most ppl like to keep still while charging so if you move it will miss. so move and fire at them. you wont be as accurate but you wont be as dead either.
Remember teamwork really helps. When you are first starting out in the game as a newbie its will all work out fine if you act as an independent unit since thats what everyone is doing. However when you get to the more advanced severs you'll realize that working with your team can really help. In TD this means that you can score more by having ppl charge and killing and picking up the ball when you die. In DM if you stumble into a group of enemies then it'll probably be 3/4v1 and you'll be lucky to down one of them however if you're with other ppl then you can kill more and probably live.
Learn to see laggers. We all lag from time to time however when someone lags they will be invincible and not die no matter how many shots you give them. when you see these ppl dont keep on shooting them because most likely they wont be dying anytime soon and their backup will come and probably kill you. Instead retreat for now and kill other ppl. dont worry about losing the point for killing the person since chances are you wouldnt have kill them and if you have retreated depending on how good you are you may have gotten many more kills.
Thats all i can really thing of right now. please comment and feel free to add in anything that you think that might help a new player
